Olympic National Park

Trip details

January 03, 2023

The best way to see Olympic National Park is to drive "the loop" which takes you through the gorgeous terrains and ecosystems that make this park so special.  We took the Bainbridge Ferry into the park after spending a few nights in Seattle.  From the ferry terminal it was about 1.5 hour drive to our first destination hike at Hurricane Ridge.  Another .5 hour to Lake Crescent Lodge where we spent our first two nights.  The Destination Road Map is from Bainbridge Ferry Terminal back around to Seattle Airport.

Accommodations

February 23, 2023

We stayed in park lodges throughout our trip to Olympic National Park.  The rooms are not fancy but the views and proximity to events and activities can't be beat.  National Park lodges at Olympic are run by National Park Reservations and can be made directly through their website.

Tip:  The 2 bedroom Roosevelt Fireplace Cabin was our favorite among the Lake Crescent lodging options.  Breakfast on the screened porch in the Lodge was a perfect start to each day.
